MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Adam Edinger scored the game-winning goal with 2:26 remaining in overtime Saturday as the Bloomington PrairieThunder rallied for a 5-4 victory over International Hockey League-leading Fort Wayne before 4,085 people at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
Edinger’s goal was assisted by Blake Stewart, who also scored two goals as the PrairieThunder moved its record to 21-28-2-2. Fort Wayne dropped to 35-13-4-1.
Both teams scored two goals in the first period. Fort Wayne ’s Colin Chaulk scored first on a short-handed goal with 16:45 remaining in the initial period off an assist by Brent Henley. The PrairieThunder evened the score two minutes later on a goal by Bobby Kukulka off assists from Adam Edinger and Kyle McCullough.

ADVERTISEMENT McCullough then put the PrairieThunder ahead, 2-1, with 5:09 left in the first period with assists going to Pascal Bedard and Jeremy Cornish. The Komets tied the game with 4:15 to go in the period on Terry Marchant’s goal with the assist to Matt Reynolds.
Neither team scored in the second period as the Komets had 16 shots on goal to Bloomington ’s six.
Both teams scored two goals again in the third period. Marchant scored his second goal of the game to give the Komets a 3-2 lead with 18:25 remaining off assists from Guy Dupuis and Reynolds.
The PrairieThunder tied the game 15 seconds later on a goal by Stewart off assists from Casey Handrahan and Don Parsons. The Komets then regained the lead, 4-3, on Sergei Durdin’s power play goal with assists to Mathieu Curadeau and Jake Pence.
Stewart tied the game for the PrairieThunder with 11:44 remaining off assists from Rob Guinn and Parsons. That set the stage for the overtime.
