CHL Presidents Cup Playoff Schedule Released - CHL

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - The Central Hockey League (CHL) released today the 2008 CHL President’s Cup playoff schedule for the opening round and for two of the four conference semi finals series’.  In all, 10 teams qualified for the post-season with five from each conference.  The Laredo Bucks and the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs have earned the number one seeds in their respective conferences and will have to wait until the best-of-three opening round series’ are complete to determine their first opponents.  The Mudbugs finished the season with 94 points winning their second consecutive Governors’ Cup (regular season championship).

The two Northern Conference series’ that are set are the #4 seed Texas Brahmas versus the #5 seed Mississippi RiverKings (the winner of the best-of-three series will face the Mudbugs) and the #2 seed Colorado Eagles and the #3 seed Youngstown SteelHounds (best-of-seven).

In the Southern Conference, the #4 seed Odessa Jackalopes will play the #5 seed Austin Ice Bats in a best-of-three opening round series to determine who plays Laredo and the #2 seed Arizona Sundogs will play the #3 seeded New Mexico Scorpions in a best-of-seven conference semi finals series.
