Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 10:58AM MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - BILOXI, MS – Ryan Menei's Power-play goal 7:30 into the first period gave the Mississippi Sea Wolves a 1-0 lead, but the Columbia Inferno came from behind, scoring three power-play goals and a shorthand goal as they rallied to an 8-3 win.
Menei banged home the rebound of a shot from matt Deschamps to give the Sea Wolves a 1-0 lead early in the first period on the power-play. With Mississippi again on the power-play, Columbia's Jeff Miles picked off a point-to-point pass and broke down the ice alone, went to the backhand, and tucked the puck behind Morgan Cey to even the score at one apiece. Jeremy Hall would find the rebound of Steve McJannet's shot to give Columbia a 2-1 lead heading into the first intermission.
Reid Cashman hammered home a rebound just 3:41 into the second period, gincreasing Columbia's lead to two, but then Gio Flamminio cut the lead back to one when his blast from the point found the back of the net through traffic at 8:31. Jeff Miles and Eric Lundberg would add power-play goals at 9:37 and 12:39, respectively, and 
ADVERTISEMENT Daniel Sparre fired a feed from his brother Kris past Cey to give the Inferno a 6-3 lead going into the locker rooms.
Jason Beeman drew Mississippi within two with a power-play goal at 3:21 of the third, but it wouldn't be enough, as Columbia would add insurance goals from Dan Glover at 11:45 and Mac Faulkner at 12:51 to roll to an 8-3 victory.
Mississippi was 2-for-7 on the power play, and Morgan Cey made 39 saves on 47 shots, taking the loss.
