Team Canada Remains Undefeated in World Under 18 Hockey Championships

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Kazan, Russia -- Team Canada improved to 2-0 Tuesday at the World Under 18 Hockey Championship in Russia.
Corey Trivino of Stouffvile, Ontario scored three times and set up another for the Canadians as they defeated Denmark 4-1.

Trivino and his linemates Maxine Sauve of Val d'Or and Brampton Batallion Mathew Duchene combined for ten points to lead Team Canada, who outshot the Danes to the tune of 43-19.

While 16-year old Brayden Schenn of the Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings was held off the scoresheet Tuesday, blueliner Colby Robak was assessed a two minute minor penalty.

Schenn and Robak are two of seven Western Hockey Leaguers on this year's team.

The unbeaten Canadians, who opened the tournament with a 9-2 victory over Germany on Sunday, will now play Russia on Wednesday.
