The 5-foot-9-inch Campbell was also named to the All-ECHL first team on Friday. The Hensall, Ontario native was named to the All-ECHL first team and was named the ECHL’s most valuable player following the 2005-06 season and he was named to the ECHL All-rookie team in his rookie year of 2004-05.
Campbell has tallied 25 goals and 65 assists for 90 points in 64 games with the Gladiators this season. Included in that total was a streak of 13 straight games in which Campbell notched at least one assist.
The streak, in which Campbell notched 20 assists, was good for the Gwinnett record for longest assist-scoring streak, besting Brad Schell’s mark of 11 games set in the 2006-07 season.
