Mississippi Sea Wolves Sweep Home-and-Home Series With Pensacola Ice Pilots After 5-1 Win

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – BILOXI, MS – Jason Beeman opened the game with his second goal in as many nights as the Sea Wolves swept the home-and-home series with Pensacola with a 5-1 win on Saturday night.
 
Beeman shoveled home a centering pass from Andy Contois at 2:21 of the first and the Sea Wolves never looked back. As the final 30 seconds of the first period ticked off, Zbynek Hrdel’s blast from the top of the right wing circle found the net at 19:42 to give Mississisppi a 2-0 lead.
 
Andy Contois notched his 21st of the season on the power play when he tapped in the rebound of Ryan Menei’s shot at 7:59 of the second period.

 The Sea Wolves extended their lead to three when Jason Tejchma’s backhander from an impossible angle beat Pensacola netminder Cam Ellsworth at 9:58 of the third. Mark Hurtubise’s blast from the top of the slot on a three-on-one rush gave the Sea Wolves a 5-1 lead at 12:49 of the third.
