Belleville Bulls Matt Beleskey Chosen as League Player of the Week - OHL

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Toronto, ON - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Belleville Bulls’ captain Matt Beleskey is the Boston Pizza OHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday May 11 after scoring three goals and adding five assists for eight points in three games of the Rogers OHL Championship Series against the Kitchener Rangers.

Beleskey scored the winning goal in overtime and picked up three assists in a first star effort to lead the Bulls to a 5-4 win over the Rangers in Game 4 on Tuesday. He added an assist in a 2-1 win in Game 5 on Thursday in Kitchener and was the first star again after scoring two goals, including the winner, and an assist in a 6-3 win in Game 6 on Saturday in Belleville.

Beleskey, a 19-year-old native of Midhurst, is the Bulls’ top playoff scorer with 12 goals and 21 assists for 33 points in 20 games. The Anaheim Ducks’ prospect set career highs with 41 goals and 90 points in 62 games this season.
