MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Bentonville, AR.  Frankie Frisco was hired as the Director of Sports Information for the state's two new ABA teams - the Arkansas Aeros and Arkansas RiverCatz.  Frisco, who has worked the last 15 years for newspapers in central and northwest Arkansas, will be responsible for handling the media needs for both ABA teams and also the Arkansas Stars professional indoor football team.

His daily duties will include coordinating interview requests and preparing press releases on the teams, their players and coaches as well as other important league news.  Additional responsibilities will including assembling stat crews at both locations, producing game notes and statistics and assisting media members with post-game quotes and interviews to help meet deadline obligations.

Frisco began his newspaper career in 1991 for the Log Cabin Democrat in Conway. He was sports editor for the Herald-Leader in Siloam Springs and Daily Record in Bentonville before taking stringer positions with the Northwest Arkansas Times in Fayetteville and The Morning News in Springdale. From 1999-2002, Frisco served as the communication coordinator for the Arkansas Bankers Association in Little Rock and later for the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville from 2002-2005.
