Jim Jarecki, West Michigan Whitecaps VP, Named Midwest League Executive of the Year 2006

null

MLN Newswire - COMSTOCK PARK, MI — Jim Jarecki, Vice President of Whitecaps Professional Baseball, has been named Midwest League Executive of the Year for the 2006 season. The award, which is voted on by league general managers and presidents,  is given to the individual who has done the most successful job for baseball during the season.

Jarecki oversees the day-to-day operations of Fifth Third Ballpark and managed the million-dollar ballpark renovation project during the off season. The judgment criteria for the award include concessions, general park operations, ticket sales and overall baseball operations.

“This is special for me because it is voted on by the members of the league,” said Jarecki. “It is also a reflection of the Whitecaps organization and the reputation we have built around the league. We take pride in providing the best family entertainment and a first-class facility, and it is nice to have the hard work recognized.”

The award comes on the heels of a  successful season on the field for the Whitecaps, who won the team’s fourth Midwest League Championship in September. Matt Walbeck was named Manager of the Year by the league and Cameron Maybin took home Top Prospect honors.
