Lipkin Named Indiana Ice Miners GM
Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 12:02AM MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com -INDIANA, PA - The Indiana Ice Miners of the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League today announced that West Lebanon , Pennsylvania native Josh Lipkin has been named the team’s General Manager. Lipkin joins the Ice Miners organization to oversee the day to day front office operations of the team.
Josh Lipkin, 28, has previous professional sports management experience as the Corporate Sales Manager and Media Relations Director for the Johnstown Riverhawks Indoor Football Team of the AIFL. Most recently, Josh served as the Defensive Coordinator for the Pittsburgh RiverRats Indoor Football Team. He’s a graduate of St. Francis University ( Loretto , PA ) where he played college football for four years. He’s also an Assistant Football Coach and Head Track Coach for Apollo Ridge High School in Spring Church , PA. “I’m excited about the opportunity to join the Indiana Ice Miners,” said Josh Lipkin. “Head Coach Brian Gratz has done a terrific job putting together a very exciting hockey club and I look forward to working with him along with Brad Frycklund and Joe Bier in the Ice Miners front office. The Indiana area is a hockey hotbed and I want to develop a good relationship with all of the existing hockey programs at the S&T Bank Arena. My job is to take care of the day to day operations of the team and to help raise the awareness of the Ice Miners in the community.
