Gary Reasons, Head Coach for AFL Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz, Resigns

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com – OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz announced today the resignation of Head Coach Gary Reasons.  This decision came after the team suffered its worst loss in franchise history on Saturday against the Arkansas Twisters.  Charles ‘Sparky’ McEwen, who joined the franchise last week as Assistant Head Coach, will lead the team for the remainder of the 2008 season.

SeatSub Challenge 2008 Contest “This is Gary’s decision,” commented Yard Dawgz owner Phil Miller.  “He’s put his heart and soul into the Yard Dawgz over the past 8 months and feels this decision is best for the franchise.”

Over the last 10 years, McEwen has been involved within the Arena Football League as both a player and a coach.  In 2005, McEwen was named Head Coach of the Arena Football League’s Grand Rapid Rampage after a successful season as the Offensive Coordinator for the Yard Dawgz in 2004.

“I’m a fan first and an owner second, I hate to see the Yard Dawgz be unsuccessful.  I am confident Sparky will lead the team in the right direction,” said Miller.  “He has a vast amount of arena football experience and knows how to solve the problems we’ve had this season.”
