“I’m very honored to be going to Lake Charles and being a part of the All-Star game. It’s going to be such a fun experience to be able to work with some of the best players from this season and with several great coaches. We can only hope that some of the players from this year’s All-Star game will get recognized and maybe move on to the next level.”stated Head Coach Chris Williams.

Coach Williams, a Mobile, Alabama native, has been the Roughnecks head coach for all but 7 games in franchise history and is the IFL’s all-time leader in coaching victories. Williams led the Roughnecks to an IFL championship in 2006 and a rare undefeated regular season in 2005 finishing with a overall record of 16-1. In 2004, Williams registered a 9-7 record and developed nearly a dozen players that were given opportunities to play at the next level. Williams began his arena football coaching career with the Birmingham Steeldogs and shortly after, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers of the AF2. Coach Williams has had a long track record for not only winning, but for recruiting great prospects. He has established a name for himself as one of indoor footballs best developers of young talent.
