Visalia Oaks Get $5 Million Facelift of Recreation Park; Sign 10 Year Lease

fab50ad250250.jpgMLN Newswire - Visalia, CA. - The City of Visalia and the Oaks ballclub will begin work immediately on the $5 million renovation to 60-year old Recreation Park, which will bring the ballpark into compliance with Minor League Baseball facility standards. The renovation will also focus heavily on the fan experience. It will significantly upgrade and expand the concessions, restrooms, seating, corporate hospitality suites, and add a new kids play area.


Phase 1 – Right Field Renovation (Opening Day 2007)
• New concessions and restrooms
• Kids Play Zone with speed pitch & severalother activities
• 400 permanent stadium seats (1B)
• Grass Berm:“Beach blanket” seating
• Administrative and ticket offi ces
• New brick ballpark exterior
• Corporate Hospitality Lounge

Phase 2 – Grandstand Renovation (Opening Day 2008)
• Grandstand expansion (750 additional seats)
• Roof to shade the grandstand spectators
• Four (4) private indoor suites
• State of the art video board
• Full compliance with professional baseball facility standards

commitment ($5 milion) because the ballclub made such a big commitment," said Mayor Jesus Gamboa of the Oaks signing a ten year lease with the city.
